Black and White Portraits

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a few corporate portrait sessions where we actually got to have a little fun with the photos. I’ve also been experimenting with different lighting techniques in the studio, and I love the outcome. Classic black and white portraits never get old in my book.

Holidays on the Ranch

This year we spent the holiday on the ranch with my husbands side of the family. My son, Sterling, loves practicing his shooting skills and he is getting pretty good! The slower paced lifestyle is refreshing after you’ve been caught up in your regular day-to-day routine all the time.

Hintz Wedding

I love weddings! Especially the ones where the bride and groom decide to plan everything themselves. I was so excited to watch my nephew, Andrew, marry his beautiful bride, Daniele. The wedding was held in John Weir’s Barn in Huntington, NY. It was a rainy day, but that could not ruin the beauty of the venue. The theme of the wedding was rustic, chic with an emphasis on chic. The intimate setting was absolutely perfect for this couple. All of their friends and family traveling to attend the wedding had such a wonderful time catching up and celebrating.

State Fair of Texas

So many memories have been made at the State Fair of Texas. My  parents took me, Jeff and I discovered there that we both share a love for gross greasy and gooey food and my kids (no matter how big they are) look forward every October to the Fair.  This year has been no different! Sterling and Tess had to go on the Pirate Ride. Our favorite food this year was the “fried chicken skins with a little bit of spice”. The Fair is also a great place to people watch, so many taking “selfies” and pictures of friends in front of  Big Tex. The Fair creates the feeling that Dallas is still a small town.
