I’m always so surprised when finding out an actor or actress that I admire can do something else than just act. I don’t know why that is? Maybe, I think that because it’s not the 1950s, but rather it’s 2015 a most actors get pegged as having only one talent. This beautiful young actress, Carolina Ordonez can sing, dance, write, model and act. She reminds me of the old time Hollywood where performers did it all. I’m positive when she finishes her Master’s Degree from Sarah Lawrence in New York, she is headed for Broadway.
I was so lucky to spend 2 hours in the studio with this young talented girl who is just beginning her career. I loved capturing her elegance and kindness on camera. She is such a natural in front the camera, and I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing a lot of her in the near future.
Every time I visit Greenville, SC I absolutely have to make a stop downtown. It’s one of my favorite spots along with the river by Larkin’s. If you’ve never had the chance to visit this city it is the perfect example of preservation and modernization all at once. It’s also nice to see how the city hasn’t forgotten its history.
As much as I love taking senior portraits, it’s nice to step outside the box and use my creativity. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a few corporate portrait sessions where we actually got to have a little fun with the photos. I’ve also been experimenting with different lighting techniques in the studio, and I love the outcome. Classic black and white portraits never get old in my book.
The holidays are always a special time with our family. This year we spent the holiday on the ranch with my husbands side of the family. My son, Sterling, loves practicing his shooting skills and he is getting pretty good! The slower paced lifestyle is refreshing after you’ve been caught up in your regular day-to-day routine all the time.
